3 Popular Ways to Consume CBD

By on October 8th, 2019 in Company Info

What is CBD?

CBD, otherwise known as cannabidoil, is one of 113 cannabinoids identified within the cannabis plant. CBD is a trending component within the natural products industry. Since the legalization of regulated hemp products with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is becoming increasingly popular to help alleviate feelings of stress, promote a healthy immune system, reduce joint and muscle aches, and much, much more!

Will CBD get me high?

No! CBD cannot get you high as it is not psychoactive, and regulated CBD products cannot contain more than 0.3% THC, which is not enough for you to feel a “buzz”.

Are there different types of CBD?”

Yes! There are 3 different types of CBD: Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolates. Full Spectrum CBD refers to cannabidiol derived from the whole plant, meaning it contains CBD and other phytocannabinoids such as THC, CBC, and CBN and is known for creating an “entourage” effect. Broad Spectrum CBD is similar to Full Spectrum as it also contains other phytocannabinoids and some terpenes but it DOES NOT contain THC as it has been removed. Isolates are a purified CBD molecule and only contain CBD, as the THC and terpenes have been removed.

What is the best way to take CBD?

There truly is no “best way” to take CBD. It all depends on the person, their individual metabolisms and preferences. CBD products in USA is available in many forms, each with its own specific advantages and drawbacks. There are three main ways to consume CBD; Orally, Topically or Inhalation (Vaping). For the purposes of this article, we will focus on oral and topical administration

Orally

Taking CBD orally, is considered to be the most effective way to consume CBD Products. There are several oral delivery methods, but the two most popular are sublingual administration (under the tongue) in the form of an oil, or oral ingestion of liquid gel capsules or traditional capsules.

Oils

Sublingual administration of CBD Oil, via a dropper, is an easy way to measure out your own dosage and ensure the maximum absorption of CBD is achieved, due to the higher bioavailabilty of the oil. You can easily titrate the dosage up or down depending on your preference or needs.

Liquid Gel Capsules and Traditional Capsules.

Capsules are considered the most convenient delivery route, but have lower bioavailibility than Oils; meaning less of the CBD will be readily absorbed by your system due to first pass metabolism. When choosing between the two capsule types, Liquid Gel Capsules would be the preferred option as they are available in both Full Spectrum or Isolate options and have higher bioavailibilty than Traditional Capsules. Both capsule types are equally convenient and pre-measured which makes proper dosing on the go easily achievable. Capsules take a bit longer to take effect than oils, but also tend to be longer lasting.

Other options to administer CBD include CBD-infused Gummies, CBD-infused Teas or CBD Sprays. Additionally, most veteran CBD users find a layered approach to consuming their CBD is preferred. For example, one may opt to take a CBD Oil followed by a capsule with topical application at problem areas. The takeway is their is no right or wrong way to take your CBD, so feel free to experiment!

Topically

Topical products in USA are perfect for problem areas. You can use CBD infused rubs or roll-ons to target problem areas. There are also CBD facial creams that can help moisturize your face and may provide anti-aging qualities.

How do I know what company to choose?

Finding the right company for you can be a hard choice, as there are many options out there! Always keep in mind that the CBD world is unfortunately, a highly unregulated space. Always check to ensure the company you are purchasing from provides a CoA (Certificate of Analysis) for each product. This will show you exactly what percentage of CBD and THC is within a product. Transparency is key to finding a reputable company and quality product.

Our Products

Our full-spectrum hemp extract oil is made from organically grown industrial hemp which contains only legal trace amounts of THC (less than O.3%). These amounts are so small there is no psychoactive effect. We also offer THC-Free CBD Isolate Oil in USA for an alternative option. Our products are 3rd party laboratory tested multiple times from time of harvest to shipping. All of our products are manufactured in a FDA registered and cGMP compliant facility and produced from 100% American Hemp, grown to organic and responsible standards, and have been tested for contaminants such as pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals and mold. Our industry leading 3rd party testing procedure is performed on every final product batch and is critical to confirm accuracy in potency information and to check for residual solvents, terpenes and cannabinoid content. Our Certificates of Analysis are available on our website. Instead of employing harsh solvents for extraction, we utilize the super critical CO2 method when extracting our hemp oil. CO2 is a much healthier choice than other potential solvents and is “generally regarded as safe” (GRAS) by the FDA.
